Refresh Your Skills & Get Fit with Horseback Riding in Pickering
You learned to ride when you were young, but then took an extended break from it while you attended university, started a family or established your career. You always intended to get back to riding “someday,” but the years have gone by and now that you have the desire and opportunity to do that, you don’t know how to go about it.
Whether you are picking up the reins again to get fit, for the fun of it or to enjoy the experience of riding with your children, it can be challenging to get back into the saddle for several reasons. You may not be sure how many of your skills still remain. You may not be as fit as you once were. You may not know of a stable where an older rider who has no interest in competing will be welcomed.
As a “back in the saddle” rider, you will start with a one-on-one assessment so that your instructor can carefully and thoroughly determine your current skill and fitness levels and then design a program tailored to your individual needs and goals.
After your initial assessment, your instructor will work closely with you until you regain your former skills. In our relaxed and fun environment you will never be pressured to attempt anything you are not comfortable doing. We will help you to slowly and safely recover your previous riding abilities and, when you feel ready, help you to acquire new skills.
If you’re ready to get back into the saddle – call or text Rocking Horse Stables to book your private initial assessment session.
